Portraits

Much as I love landscapes and the glory of the outdoors, it is people that fascinate me. Each face different, each expression meaningful, sometimes eloquent, sometimes mysterious.

Capturing likeness is a tricky business and I am continually seeking to improve my approach and my technique. In Septembber, I return to Poole Learning Centre to refresh my Life Drawing and Portraiture. I remain a member of the Wimborne Art Club's portrait group. I favour pastel portraits but have never strayed far from my original watercolour approach.
